Our Story

Our origins trace back to the mist-covered mountains of Ocotal, where the volcanic soil and ideal climate create the perfect conditions for cultivating exceptional coffee. Our ancestors, driven by a deep love for the land, began growing coffee with the dream of producing something extraordinary. Over time, this dedication led to the development of sustainable farming techniques, ensuring that each harvest respects both tradition and nature.

As time passed, our family expanded its reach, refining the art of coffee production. We built strong relationships with local farmers, working side by side to perfect the cultivation process. From hand-picking the ripest cherries to carefully washing and sun-drying them on raised beds, every step reflects our commitment to excellence.

From the Farms to Your Cup

Our coffee is grown at altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 1,600 meters, allowing the beans to develop complex flavors that result in a smooth, balanced cup. After harvest, the coffee makes its way to our roasting facility in León, Nicaragua, where we take a meticulous approach to roasting. Here, we highlight the unique characteristics of each bean, ensuring a consistent and flavorful profile in every batch.

Through our direct involvement in every stage—from seed to cup—we can guarantee that our coffee meets the highest standards. Whether you prefer a rich, chocolatey medium roast or a bright, fruity light roast, JJ Coffee delivers a taste of Nicaragua’s finest.
